Event Support

Healthy Futures celebrates the last child to finish as if they were the first and supports events that share this philosophy. Healthy Futures supports over 100 youth-oriented events across Alaska that promote healthy, family-oriented activity. Healthy Futures may support a community event in any of the following ways.

  • Bibs, medals or ribbons
  • Volunteer solicitation
  • Promotes the event through media alerts, social marketing, press releases, radio print media, in-school posters, the Alaska Runners’ Calendar, email marketing and via  Healthy Futures’ event calendar.
  • Financial support through coverage of entry fees.
  • Coordination of visitations by Alaska Sports Hall of Fame inductees or other role-model Alaskan athletes. These “Healthy Heroes” may act as a race starter, motivational speaker, or participant in an interactive Healthy Futures booth.

Program Partnerships

We believe the collaborative approach is more impactful. When like-minded organizations pool their resources toward meeting a common goal there is greater opportunity for success.  Healthy Futures may partner in the following ways.

  • Volunteer solicitation
  • Consultation meeting to identify strategies for collaboration and community networking.
  • Promotion of the program through social media, in-school posters and flyers, the Alaska Runners’ Calendar, email marketing, and the event calendar and page on the Healthy Futures website.
  • Financial support through coverage of entry fees.
  • Coordination of visitations by Alaska Sports Hall of Fame inductees or other role-model Alaskan athletes. These “Healthy Heroes” may act as a motivational speaker, or participant in an interactive Healthy Futures booth.
  • Youth incentives for positive participation
