Continuing education credit is now available for teachers Statewide who are coordinating the Healthy Futures Challenge! Beginning in fall 2017, teachers may choose to register for EDPE 590: Healthy Futures for Elementary Educators, a one credit course offered through the University of Alaska Anchorage.
The online course requires that teachers complete all elements of the Challenge (registration, entering all three logs, distributing prizes), along with a few short assignments. Among these assignments are a number of discussion board posts meant to generate conversation and idea sharing between Healthy Futures coordinators. We hope these discussions will make the Challenge easier to run for the teacher and more beneficial for students. See the syllabus below for more information about course schedule and assignments.
Registration: Online through UA Online using these instructions. You must register through UA Online. Signing up through My Learning Plan does not constitute a complete registration.
