Dear Healthy Futures participants,
We are saddoned to share the news that lifelong Alaskan Bonny Kay Sosa, Healthy Futures founder and volunteer director, died unexpectantly from a brain tumor on August 7, 2008, at Providence Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
An avid community activist and children’s fitness advocate, Bonny and her husband founded Healthy Futures in 2003, and worked hard to spread the initiative into communities and schools throughout Alaska.
Bonny
left all who knew her with memories of her gentle, caring ways, and the many acts of kindness she showered on family, friends and the children of Alaska.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Central Lutheran Church, 1420 Cordova St. A potluck reception will follow.
We invite you to share your thoughts, memories and condolances with Bonny's family and friends through www.friendsofbonny.wordpress.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Alaska Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AKAHPERD) in support of Healthy Futures. P.O. Box 24133, Anchorage, Alaska 99524-1323
